The first light at this point on Grand Lake, New Brunswick’s largest freshwater lake, was established in 1869. The current skeleton tower measures 3.5 metres (11 ft) and can be found on the eastern shores of Grand Lake, on a branch road off of Cox Point Road.

From the Trans-Canada Highway, take Exit 365 and travel West on Route 10 for 8.6 km (5.4 miles). At Youngs Cove, turn north and drive for 12.8 km (8 miles) to Cumberland Bay, where you leave Route 10 and travel west for 10.4 km (6.5 miles) to Cox Point.
