The first worship service held in this building was in 1886. Designated a National Historic Site, St. Paul's United Church is a fine example of the High Victorian Gothic Revival Style. Since 2007, work has been undertaken to repair damaged stonework, windows and the roof, restoring the front wall, copper roofing and several windows. Originally a Presbyterian church, St. Paul's was part of the union of Methodist, Presbyterian and Congregational churches that took place in 1925, creating the United Church of Canada.
Visitors are welcome to visit the church on their own. Guided tours available June - August. Please contact church directly for more information.
