Brad Perry, a talented astrophotographer, is offering a beginner to intermediate-level photography workshop for anyone with a DSLR/mirrorless camera on Saturday, April 6, from 9am - 11:30am at the NB Sports Hall of Fame.
The free workshop will be hands-on and will cover all the necessary equipment, resources and guidance for planning and predicting photo opportunities, as well as basic technical methodology.
During the workshop, attendees will learn about:
Planning and composing shots of the moon with a foreground
Understanding how the different phases of the moon affect photography
Moon and planet conjunctions
Capturing stunning shots of the Milky Way
Photographing the Aurora Borealis (Northern Lights)
Shooting star trails
Special events such as meteor showers, comets, Starlink, and ISS passes
A glance at eclipses
General safety tips for working in the dark and cold
The workshop is designed to be beginner-friendly, but intermediate-level photographers are also welcome. By the end of the workshop, you'll have gained valuable knowledge and techniques to help you capture stunning night sky photographs.
