In this participatory workshop, taking place Saturday, June 7, 2025 from 1pm-4pm, artist Sarah Maloney will share some of the techniques she has developed in her own practice of textile embroidery. This workshop will cover pattern design and development, including different methods of transferring these to textiles. Several techniques for stitching, including how to use stitches to convey texture and pattern, will be demonstrated. She will also discuss and show examples of colour blending and how to create more complex colours with embroidery floss.

Participants are expected to have some sewing, embroidery, or other needlework skills.Materials are included.
