You’re invited to come explore Nackawic during Big Axe’s Winterfest Friday, February 2 to Saturday, February 3! Bring your snowshoes, skis, or hiking boots out to Nackawic to explore the amazing trails, including the Pokiok and Nackawic Nature Trails.  

A snowmobile rally will take place Friday and Saturday all day. Those who register will be provided locations to visit and must stamp a card. Return to the Brewery Saturday by 6:30pm with a completed stamp card for your chance to win prizes!

Get ready for an electric Saturday night full community and creation! 

Grab your best pals and join us for an amazing evening of live competitive painting as artists have 20 minutes to take their canvases from blank to beautiful, battling not only the clock but each other as well. Watch the paint fly before your eyes and help vote to determine the Champion! The winner will move on to the Art Battle NB Finals in June! 

All artwork created will be available via silent auction. 

First Light Distillery opened its doors in 2022, built with the vision of being the place you can share a drink with friends, celebrate with loved ones or blow off steam after a long day!   

Learn all about the art of distilling and blend your own bottle of Gin using different liquid botanicals. This class is lead by our Distiller, Ashley. One free mixed drink is included, upon arrival. Finish the class off by naming your own bottle of Gin on a customized label. Tour is included. 

Must be 19+ to participate.

Join The Fiddlehead as they launch their 2024 Winter Issue with readings from contributors, including The Fiddlehead's Fiction Contest winner, and a local author.

This is a hybrid event with in person and virtual readings on Zoom. ASL interpretation will be provided and face masks are encouraged. 

The event is free to all.

Visit the Beaverbrook Art Gallery as they present a special speaker series for the entire month of February, Expressions in Excellence: Voices from Black Artists.

This speaker series takes place every Thursday evening at 6:30 in February and will shine a spotlight on the immense talent and cultural richness of Black artists in our community. This series serves not only as a platform for artistic expression but also as a catalyst for dialogue, understanding, and unity.

Participating galleries include Gallery 78, Beaverbrook Art Gallery, the Artisan District, Gallery on Queen and the gallery spaces at Charlotte Street Arts Centre.

Capital Arts is also presenting a pop-up art show as part of the event.

Faites une tournée hivernale des galeries du centre-ville de Fredericton avec vos amis.

Admirez les plus récentes expositions et rencontrez les artistes ainsi que les propriétaires et les directeurs des galeries.

De légers rafraîchissements seront servis et il y aura de la musique.

Les galeries participantes sont la Gallery 78, le Musée des beaux-arts Beaverbrook, l’Artisan District, la Gallery on Queen et les espaces d’exposition du Centre des arts de la rue Charlotte.

Capital Arts présentera également une exposition d’art éphémère pendant l’événement.

Classical guitarists Steven Peacock and Gerry Van Wart present Textures for Two Guitars: Works New and Selected, playing pieces ranging from baroque to 20th century, and a number of their own compositions.

Both locals, they’ve worked with world class musicians across the country, and released over a dozen CDs between them.  

This pay-what-you-can concert will offer a range of delightful pieces to warm the heart and chase those winter blues away.  

Les guitaristes classiques Steven Peacock et Gerry Van Wart présentent le spectacle Textures for Two Guitars: Works New and Selected, au cours duquel ils interpréteront des pièces de l’époque baroque au XXe siècle, ainsi que quelques-unes de leurs compositions.

Les deux hommes de la région ont travaillé avec des musiciens de renommée mondiale un peu partout au pays et ont lancé une dizaine d’albums à eux deux.

Race Clubs from across Atlantic Canada will be at Crabbe for a week of training, racing, and SPEED.
