Dumfries Maples: From Sap to Syrup: A Tasty Guided Maple Production Tour

Area
Destination Nackawic

Dumfries Maples is a 25-year-old maple syrup farm located in Central New Brunswick along the Wolastoq (Saint John River), operating on a family property dating back to the late 1880’s.

A visit includes a guided tour of our farm, describing how we produce maple syrup in the Spring of the year, explaining the process from tree to bottle. The tour also tells the unique history of maple syrup from its beginning to present day, as well as the local history of the area.

The tour will be followed by warm homemade biscuits served with maple butter and a beverage inside their owner-built cedar log cabin. This will be followed by the treat of maple taffy on snow. Extend your visit by exploring the property on the trails where you can experience nature and view wildlife. Maple syrup and maple products that are made on-site are available to purchase.
