Queens County Heritage proudly presents its Summer Lecture Series—a lively and informative set of talks showcasing local experts, storytellers, historians, and artisans. On Sunday afternoon of July 27, August 3 & August 24 from 3pm-4:30pm, join us for a fresh perspective on our shared heritage, from material culture and fashion to politics, industry, and daily life.

Historic Hairstyles - 1860 to 1930 | Sunday, July 27: Live hair demonstration on local models, tracing how fashion evolved across decades. Presented by Catherine Lowe Hamer.  

Survey of Women's Clothing - 1860-1930 | Sunday, August 3rd: Survey of late 19th and Early 20th Century fashion trends. Presented by Joanne Venart. 

The History of Nursing in Canada | Sunday, August 24: A Historical Perspective on Canadian Nurses: Care and Service. Presented by Prof. Erin Spinney. 

Each event offers a chance to learn something new, engage with local history, and ask questions in an informal, welcoming setting. Light refreshments provided.
