In this 5-day introductory workshop, participants will learn how to transform yarn into fabric using a domestic knitting machine. No prior knitting experience is required.
Throughout the week, students will be introduced to the basic functions of the knitting machine and develop foundational skills such as casting on, knitting rows, managing tension, and binding off. Building on these fundamentals, participants will explore simple stitch techniques including lace, ribbing, and hand-manipulated details.
By the end of the workshop, participants will have created a collection of machine-knit swatches and completed their own original cowl or scarf.
