The Lightfoot Band recorded the hits and performed with the Canadian musical legend Gordon Lightfoot in literally thousands of live concerts in Australia, through the USA, Canada, the UK, and into Europe! The Lightfoot Band will showcase selected songs from Gordon’s catalogue, along with stories from their years on the road with the iconic artist!
This takes place at the Fredericton Playhouse, on October 1st!

UNB is hosting a commemorative ceremony will be held at the Fourth Floor, Performance Gym, Richard J. CURRIE CENTER to honour the survivors of residential schools and to commemorate the children who did not return home. Members of the community are invited to join this in-person, interactive, commemorative event. The event will be available via live stream and will feature Indigenous speakers.

September 29th, at the Charlotte Street Arts Centre, join us to see Victoria (BC) based, alt-country singer songwriter Leeroy Stagger! Stagger is an acclaimed songwriter and producer, who has released 12 full length albums, the most recent being 2021’s Dystopian Weekends. Stagger has shared stages with artists ranging from The Pixies to Steve Earle, with whom he made a much talked about stop with Earle at the Fredericton Playhouse this past July!

The Gagetown Farmers Market is a mix of local artisans, crafts people, local farmers and food vendors. Stop by to get your weekly, in-season produce, and many other essentials. While you visit, grab a coffee and some lunch and have a picnic along the waterfront. There is something for everyone.

The 19th century saw many groups cross the Atlantic Ocean to find a new home, sometimes by choice, often by necessity or force. This weekend, we focus on two of these groups: Irish immigrants, represented by the Killeens, and the British Home Children.
The Killeens came from Ireland in the 1820s and had to build their own road to their settlement in Hanwell. The farmland was rocky, and life was difficult for the young family. Visit the Killeen cabin, built by Timothy, to learn about their family history and Irish immigration.
