The Freddy Beach Ribfest Block Party is back! The Official Kickoff to Summer at the NBEX runs from Thursday, June 6 till June 9. Spread across four fun-filled days, this event brings together the best of BBQ, community, and summertime, all in support of the Make-A-Wish Foundation.

Featuring Midway Rides, Live Entertainment, Molson Street Experience, RV and Power Sports Expo, Vendor Market, Mini Farm, BBQ Classes and so much more, there is no better way to ring in the start of Summer!

S’étendant sur quatre jours de plaisir, cet événement réunit le meilleur du barbecue, de la communauté et de l’été au profit de la fondation Rêves d’enfants.

Avec des manèges, des spectacles, l’expérience de la rue Molson, une exposition de véhicules récréatifs et de sports motorisés, un marché, une mini-ferme, des cours de barbecue et bien plus encore, il n’y a pas de meilleure façon de célébrer le début de l’été!

Artist friendly happy hour prices are available for both alcoholic and alcohol-free beverages. Come by to perform a tune, meet a new friend, and spin the wheel to win prizes.

Join the Walking Tour on the Life and Legacy of Brigid Toole Grant on Tuesday, June 4 from 9:00am to 4:00pm. Walking Tour on the Life and Legacy of Brigid Toole Grant is a walking tour by curator Roslyn Rosenfeld of the unique exhibit Into the Blue: Remembering Brigid Toole Grant. Into the Blue: Remembering Brigid Toole Grant is a labour of love by her daughter Hannah Grant, who along with curator Roslyn Rosenfeld, assembled a collection of acrylics, watercolors, prints, and drawings from friends, family, and the UNB Permanent Collection.

Take a drive to Gagetown for their weekly Farmers Market on Sundays, 11am to 3pm from May to October.

The Gagetown Farmers Market is a mix of local artisans, crafts people, local farmers and food vendors. Stop by to get your weekly, in-season produce, and many other essentials.  While you visit, grab a coffee and some lunch and have a picnic along the waterfront.  There is something for everyone.

Faites une promenade en voiture jusqu’au charmant village de Gagetown où se tient un marché public hebdomadaire le dimanche de 11 h à 15 h, de mai à octobre.

Le marché public de Gagetown réunit des artisans, des agriculteurs et des marchands de produits alimentaires de la région. Allez y faire un tour pour acheter vos fruits et légumes de saison pour la semaine et bien d’autres choses! Quand vous y serez, prenez un café et de quoi manger ou allez pique-niquer au bord de l’eau.

Second Nature Outdoors is celebrating their 10^th year in business with a flotilla in recognition of Parks and Trails Day.  Get your boats ready to join in on a short paddle down river from Second Nature Outdoors to Carleton Park. This is a FREE event; however, donations will be accepted for Greener Village Food Bank.

There will be prizes drawn at Picaroons Round House following the paddle.

Art on the Bridge - a celebration of local art and artists in the Fredericton Capital Region takes place on Saturday, June 1 from 10am - 2pm!

The Bill Thorpe Walking Bridge will be covered end to end with artists’ work for public viewing and for purchase. 

Take a walk across this iconic Fredericton landmark to see work from amazing New Brunswick artists and join in the fun as kids are invited to participate in a group mural painting!
