St. Anne's Chapel of Ease has not been modified since the day on which it was consecrated, on March 18, 1847. A tour of the building reveals Gothic Revival architecture reminiscent of the time of Henry III in the thirteenth century. The sandstone on the Chapel exterior, the hardstone buttresses, and the trim came from New Brunswick, as did the butternut that was used for most of the interior woodwork. See the symbolic tiles in the sanctuary floor, and a freestone arch and butternut screen separating the chancel and the nave.

As you approach the Chapel, you will see a low stone wall surround, interrupted by a Lych-gate. A National Historic Site in downtown Fredericton, St. Anne's Chapel of Ease was the first free church in Canada.

St. Anne's Chapel will be opened to the public as of July 2nd, 2021.
