Fredericton Capital Region Golf Courses

The Fredericton Capital Region boasts some fantastic golf experiences. With 8 courses to choose from, the region offers gorgeous, long, winding courses nestled in nature, to tight, pure fairways buried in the suburbs. With courses suited to all skill levels, the Fredericton Capital Region is a dreamy destination for a golf getaway! Read on to learn about the region’s courses.

Gage Golf and Curling Club

Known locally as “The Gage”, the Gage Golf and Curling Club has an 18-hole golf course in Oromocto. Situated 20 minutes outside of Fredericton city limits, this course is well-maintained, decently intricate without being punishing, and one of the most affordable courses in the area.

Pro Tips: Power cart seats are free after 2pm meaning you can play 18 with a cart for a total of $52.50, part of their twilight fee.

Gage Golf and Curling Club

Riverbend Golf Club

Riverbend is a long 18-hole course that winds along the Naashwaak River, which feeds into the Wolastoq (Saint John River). Riverbend is fairly open with decently sloped and intricate greens making approach forgiving, but the short game challenging.

Pro Tip: For the months of June, July and August, golfers can play 18 holes for $32, $6 off the regular green fee, when golfing between Monday and Wednesday.

Carman Creek

Carman Creek is a fun, educational and surprisingly challenging 9-hole course consisting of par threes and fours. The second half of the course introduces tricky water placements that force a tight approach game. It’s a fantastic place to bring junior players, new players, or larger groups looking for a relaxing, fun time.

Pro Tips: Golfers under 18 pay $16.52 for nine holes, (regular price $24.35).

On Wednesdays from 11am until 3pm, two players can golf 9 holes and get a warm-up bucket of balls (to be used at the Carman Creek range) for $33.04, a $62 value!

Kingswood

A staple of the Fredericton Capital Region golf scene, Kingswood Golf is a 27-hole facility and one of New Brunswick’s most recognized 18-hole signature golf courses. Among many accolades, their 9-hole executive course was rated “Top Short Course for 2006” by US Golf Magazine. The course presents wide open fairways, and is friendly to beginners and experts alike. Stop into the lodge for a delicious meal at Sam Snead’s after your round, or check out the additional onsite activities, like Kingswood Entertainment and Bowling!

Mactaquac

An 18-hole course tucked inside a provincial park, Mactaquac Golf offers a championship course complete with stunning views of the Wolastoq (Saint John River). With a driving range, equipment rentals, fully equipped pro shop and licensed restaurant on site, Mactaquac is an excellent choice for golfers looking to play a picturesque round in the Fredericton Capital Region.

West Hills

Minutes from Downtown Fredericton, the West Hills Golf Course is situated in the serene residential community of West Hills. An 18-hole Huxham Golf Design course, West Hills features spacious fairways, and several brooks and ponds. Pro shop, driving range, cart rentals, and fully-licensed restaurant St. James Gate are also onsite.

Nackawic Golf offers a challenging 9-hole course, limited driving range, putting green, clubhouse, restaurant and liquor license. Golf carts and clubs are available for rent, and there is a pro shop on site!

The Fredericton Capital Region likes to keep golf season in full swing all year long, no matter the weather!

Book a bay at downtown Fredericton’s Par 94 Golf Simulator & Sports Bar, and play a virtual round of 9 or 18 holes with your friends. In addition to their golf simulator and fully licensed bar, Par 94 offers washer toss, cornhole, throwing darts, pool and foosball in their venue to ensure there is never a dull moment! Also in Fredericton is Good Guys Golf indoor mini-putt, simulator, and bar. The Good Guys have designed a 10-hole mini putt course that is a blast for adults, as well as kids. They’ve even incorporated a birthday party room and arcade machines, fun for the whole family!
