About the band:
Los Amigos is a dynamic band formed by six talented musicians from Canada, Cuba, El Salvador, and the U.S., united by their passion for Cuban and Latin American music. The band, led by Fredericton-based percussionist and arranger Jon Bailey, blends classic Latin tunes with a jazzy twist. After years of musical study in Havana, Cuba, Bailey hand-picked top musicians from Eastern Canada to bring this vibrant music to life. The group features award-winning musicians including Joel Miller (saxophone), Jon Bailey (timbales, musical director), Juan Morales (congas), Luis Rizo La Rosa (bongo), Jorian Hapeman (piano), and Jason Flores (bass). Los Amigos delivers an energetic performance, fusing traditional Cuban and Latin sounds with jazz and contemporary styles.
