One of the hardest tricks an artist can pull off is to be something truly original, and when talking about Canadian blues legend Harry Manx, originality is exactly what you get. Manx has been called an ‘essential link’ between the hard blues music of the American south and the depth of classical ragas found in the Middle East. He studied with musical inventor Vishwa Mohan Bhatt, the inventor of the 20 stringed Mohan Veena. It has since become Manx’s signature instrument. If mixing the blues with world music excites you, then you won’t want to miss this show, scheduled for November 21 at the Charlotte Street Arts Centre!
