Mihqitahamin (Remember Me), an exhibition presented by NBCCD’s Wabanaki Visual Arts students, showcases the creative voices and cultural narratives of Indigenous artists. The exhibition reflects the resilience and stories of communities, as described by exhibiting artist Ryan Nagy: “As Indigenous people, we carry this with us daily, in the names and stories of those taken, in the art that speaks for the silenced, and in the resilience of our communities. We remember.”
Join us for the free public opening reception at the George Fry Gallery on Thursday, March 13, 2025, from 4:30pm–6pm. Meet the artists, experience their powerful works, and participate in an Artist Q&A talking circle, offering a space for shared reflections and meaningful conversation about the exhibition’s theme.
A series of community events will also accompany the exhibition, celebrating Wabanaki art, culture, and storytelling. Don’t miss the chance to engage with the artists and explore their creative processes firsthand!
