Celebrate International Women's Day on March 7 at 7:30 p.m. at the Charlotte Street Arts Centre with a unique staged reading of Only Men May Vote!, drawn from Andrew MacLean’s Rebellious Women of the Maritimes. The reading highlights Muriel McQueen Fergusson, a trailblazing New Brunswick activist who fought for women’s right to vote and became the first woman appointed to the Canadian Senate. Special guests, including Mayor Kate Rogers and Fredericton Poet Laureate Fawn Parker, will help bring this inspiring story to life. Following the reading, CBC’s Jeanne Armstrong will moderate a Q&A on political equality. Andrew MacLean will also be signing copies of his book. With limited seating, be sure to get your tickets before they sell out!
