The UNB Art Centre is celebrating Black History Month by displaying portraits of notable Black New Brunswickers on banners along Regent and Westmorland Streets throughout February. In partnership with Downtown Fredericton Inc., this project honors the contributions of Black New Brunswickers.

The Rediscovering the Roots of Black New Brunswickers exhibit will be at the UNB Art Centre from February 7-28, opening with a reception on February 7. On February 13, the Rhythm and Roots-Community Drum Circle will take place at Memorial Hall, offering an immersive African drumming experience. Both events are part of Fredericton’s Frostival celebration.
