An unforgettable evening of avant-folk music is set to take place on Tuesday, June 17 at 7:30pm at the Charlotte Street Arts Centre (732 Charlotte Street). The event will feature performances by Samson Wrote (Nova Scotia) and JoJo Worthington (Quebec), with special guests Pallmer (New Brunswick). This all-ages show promises to highlight some of Canada’s most innovative and emotionally resonant musical voices.

JoJo Worthington, a Montreal-based producer, songwriter, and composer, is celebrated for her expansive, experimental soundscapes. Over the past decade, she has toured internationally and opened for acts such as Novo Amor and Great Lake Swimmers. Samson Wrote is the project of Bear River’s Sam Boer, an award-nominated multi-instrumentalist whose poignant, lyrically driven music has been performed across Canada and Europe. The evening also features Pallmer, a chamber-pop duo from Fredericton, known for their rich arrangements of cello and viola enhanced with modern effects. Their recent album Swimming has received critical acclaim, including a Song of the Year win at the 2024 MNB Awards.

The event offers a rare opportunity to experience genre-defying performances, intricate instrumentation, and compelling storytelling—all in one night. Admission is $15 and all are welcome!
