FREDERICTON (NB): Men Without Hats, ABOiTEAU, and Kylie Fox will headline Fredericton’s Canada Day celebration downtown in Officers’ Square on Tuesday, July 1.
The Canada Day Celebrations, starting at 12noon in downtown Fredericton, will see a full day of free music and family themed activities, capped off by a fireworks display over the Wolastoq (Saint John River).
“Downtown Fredericton will be the place to be,” said Stacey Russell, Manager of Tourism & Events for the City of Fredericton. “The day will include free live music, entertainment, family activities, cultural displays and food vendors.”
Entertainment will run on the main stage in Officers’ Square from noon until the fireworks at approximately 10:30pm. The main headliner of the evening is Canada’s own Men Without Hats. With their unmatched energy, musicality, and pure joy on stage, they’re sure to deliver a show that’s packed with nostalgia, excitement, and non-stop dancing.
Other live shows will include Fredericton’s own Kylie Fox, Ella Campbell, L’Aboiteau, The Muskrat Singers, as well as performances from the Multicultural Association and so much more!
In addition to the Officers’ Square stage, Canada Day activities will be taking place throughout the Historic Garrison District including tons of free family fun on both Carleton Street and in Barracks Square.
“We encourage everyone to come out and celebrate Canada’s birthday,” said Russell. “This year, more than ever, we feel Canadians will want to come together this Canada Day.”
The full Canada Day schedule will be announced in the upcoming weeks.
Proudly supported by the City of Fredericton, Heritage Canada, and Downtown Fredericton Inc.
