Developed by Fredericton Capital Region Tourism in collaboration with 11 popular local breweries, the Fredericton Taproom Trail gives you the perfect way to explore Atlantic Canada’s craft brewing capital, and discover your next favourite craft brew! 

Fredericton’s 120km+ extensive trail system offers the perfect way to explore the city and taprooms responsibly, on foot or bike. The Taproom Trail will take you all across town, from the southside staples such as Graystone and Grimross - to the northside pillars such as Picaroons, Trailway, and Half Cut! You’ll need more than a day to soak up the craft beer scene in Fredericton, so why not book a stay at one of several hotels conveniently located along the Fredericton Taproom Trail! 

To fully experience the Fredericton Taproom Trail, craft beer and cider enthusiasts can pick up the passport style map at any of the 11 participating taprooms. With your #FredTapTrail passport in hand, it’s time to hit the trails, order some drinks and collect your stamps! Once you’ve visited 8 taprooms and collected the corresponding stamps, you can show your map for a Fred Tap Trail t-shirt at the STMR.36 BBQ and Social, located in the Delta Hotel! After visiting all 11 taprooms, submit your completed passport to the Fredericton Capital Region Tourism office (in person or by mail) to be entered for a draw to win a Fredericton-craftcation getaway, perfect for any craft beer and cider lover!

Known for brewing a wide variety of West Coast-style ales, this tasting room has quickly become a downtown favourite! This laid-back spot has a warm fireplace in the winter and large garage doors that open to a patio in the summer. Its 23 taps showcase 10-12 Graystone brews at any given time, as well as several New Brunswick beers and ciders.

This award-winning Atlantic Canadian-style beer is brewed with Belgian yeast for a unique taste. This Rainbow Registered business frequently hosts live music and boasts a welcoming atmosphere. The 10 beers on tap vary, but feature both Grimross and guest taps, depending on how many Grimross varieties are in season.

Half Cut Brewing Co. believes in good beer and good food! With fun beverage names like “Tickle Fight”, “Charlie Horse” and “Alter Ego”, this is the perfect place to grab a seat and raise a glass to never taking life too seriously! Plus, grab a bite from Happy Ending by The Feel Good to pair with your brew.

Small-batch beers are brewed on site and pair perfectly with wood-fired Neapolitan-style pizzas. The beautiful sunny patio on the corner of King and Westmorland streets is the perfect place to sit and enjoy the weather and all the sights around!

Mama’s Brew Pub

Long known as a popular place for casual pub dining and comfort food, Mama’s Bew Pub is a friendly and relaxing neighbourhood brew pub featuring 10+ in-house brews along with a 45+ item menu. Mama’s beers are known for creativity in their flavouring. They pair perfectly with the wings that Mama’s has been famous for since they opened in 1992!

Maybee Brewery

The brewers at Maybee Brewing enjoy being inventive with their recipes, coming up with new tastes and combinations that feature local ingredients. Their beers don’t conform to a particular style, but American Ales, and Belgian beers are among their favourites. The taproom overlooks the production floor, so you can see your favourite drink being made. For hot summer days Maybee also has a patio so you can enjoy the great outdoors with a cold craft beer!

Picaroons Brewing Co.

Directly off the Bill Thorpe Walking Bridge on Fredericton’s Northside, Picaroons brews English-style ales in a park-like setting on the Wolastoq (Saint John River). On top of the six dedicated Picaroons taps, the Roundhouse offers one local guest tap, and one cider tap. The Roundhouse is a friendly and casual wide-open space featuring communal tables and featuring pub food with a twist. You can also find other New Brunswick craft beer and ciders for sale in growlers, cans, and bottles.

The Cap

The Cap is a community space for live music, comedy, and art of all kinds and features an on-site nano-brewery. You can also find new and used records for sale, beer to go, and plenty of seating on sunny or shaded patios.

Trailway Brewing Co.

Trailway Brewing Co. is a Northside staple, situated across from Fredericton’s popular walking trail. Brewing hoppy, unfiltered American ales, along with fruit beer, stouts, and sours when the brewers feel like changing things up. The inviting tasting room and top-notch summer patio make this the perfect stop for craft beer lovers!

York County Cider

York County Cider is the premier cider taproom in Fredericton, with the largest cider selection in the province. They use only New Brunswick grown apples, and other locally sourced ingredients to make their handcrafted cider. With fun and unique cider flavours like Imperial Cherry Bomb, Dave Matthews, Strawberry Lime, and Queen Annes Revenge and offering four local craft beers on tap, non-alcoholic beer and cider, and traditional soft drinks, there’s sure to be something for everyone.

Many of the stops along the Taproom Trail are dog-friendly! Gahan House Riverside, Greystone Brewing, Grimross Brewing, King West Brewing Co., Mama’s Brew Pub, Maybee Brewing, Picaroons Brewing Co., The Cap, Trailway Brewing Co., and York County Cider all welcome you and your furry friend! Be sure to look for the dog-friendly icon on the Taproom Trail map, or you can call ahead to be sure.
