Explore the Great Outdoors

Crabbe Mountain

Calling all thrill seekers, there's no better time to hit the slopes! With temperatures getting a little warmer and the chance of fresh powder, heading out to Crabbe Mountain is a must this March Break. Crabbe Mountain has the largest vertical in New Brunswick and is home to some of the best terrain in Atlantic Canada! With night skiing, 34 trails, a terrain park, and a brand-new lodge offering a rental shop, cafeteria bar, live music, retail store, and local craft beer, there’s something for everyone.

Mactaquac Provincial Park

Located just 20 minutes from Fredericton in Central York, Mactaquac Provincial Park has fantastic (and FREE!) activities for the whole family to enjoy.  Cross-country ski or snowshoe on the trails surrounding the park, skate on the outdoor rink and the new forest skate trail, rent a fat bike, or get an adrenaline rush with the sliding hills.

Skate Around Officers’ Square

Perfect for a romantic date night or a fun activity for the entire family, take a trip to the heart of Downtown Fredericton and check out Fredericton's brand-new outdoor skating rink in Officers’ Square. Open until 8pm, skate under the stars and take in the beauty of the capital city.

Sandwith's Sleigh Rides

While snow is still on the ground, check out Sandwith's Sleigh Rides! An adventure filled with family fun, Sandwith's offers horse-drawn rides for groups of 10-20 people. Take a trot out to their rustic camp on the lake and spend the afternoon warming up by the bonfire, hitting the sliding hill, and letting the kids enjoy the playground before the horses haul you back to the lodge. 

Maple the First Taste of Spring

Celebrate the coming of the new season with "Maple, the First Taste of Spring" on March 9 and 10 at Kings Landing. Guests will enjoy a 19th-century sugaring demonstration, delightful maple candy on the snow, fun horse & wagon rides, beautiful scenery, visits to select historic homes, and more. The Fredericton Capital Region is filled with incredible art galleries to discover. While visiting Downtown Fredericton, check out the world-renowned Beaverbrook Art Gallery, the stunning Acacia Gallery in the Village of Gagetown, or take a trip to French Lake to visit the one-of-a-kind Hanson Art Gallery and Sculpture Garden.

Practice Your Golf Game

Although the golf season is not quite upon us yet, that does not mean you can't get your game on while visiting the Fredericton Capital Region this March Break!
