1. Guided Heritage Walking Tours

The best way to learn about the history, folklore and architecture of Downtown Fredericton is to take a Guided Heritage Walking Tour! Follow a historically-costumed guide as you make your way through the Historic Garrison District, the Old Public Burial Ground, the Provincial Legislative Building and the Guard House. The tour also takes you past the former houses of well-known Frederictonians.
Available every day from July 2 to Labour Day at 10am and 2:30pm departing from City Hall. From September 5 to October 9 tours are available at 4pm daily.

2. Haunted Hikes

If you want to explore the spookier side of Fredericton’s history, join a Haunted Hike for a lantern-lit tour! Led by a costumed guide, hear the lesser-known tales of the city that will send shivers down your spine. Brought to you by the Calithumpians, the Haunted Hikes promise light-hearted family fun. These tours are available from July 2 to September 3, from Monday to Saturday. Admission is priced at $15 per adult and $10 per child, so grab your family and experience this unique tour!

3. Wabanaki Tree Spirits Tours & Events

Embark on an educational tour through Odell Park's Old Growth Forest and immerse yourself in the knowledge of Wabanaki medicine keepers, Cecelia Brooks and her son Anthony. Learn insights into the local plants, their traditional medicinal properties and even discover their culinary uses. Additionally, listen while Cecelia shares Wabanaki stories as she preserves and advances indigenous values.

4. Second Nature Outdoors Tours

Looking for some nature adventure? Second Nature Outdoors has the perfect tours for you! Join the Sunrise Paddle Tour on Saturday mornings and paddle through the serene waters of Hartt Island Resort, witnessing a breathtaking sunrise that sets the stage for a magical morning. Finish it off with freshly brewed coffee and a baked treat from Lily Dipper Café to start your day the right way. On Friday afternoons, take the Sunset Paddle Tour and kayak to the mesmerizing convergence point of two rivers, the Oromocto River and the Wolastoq (Saint John River), where you can witness a captivating sunset that will leave you in awe.

5. Beaverbrook Art Gallery Tours

Visit the Beaverbrook Art Gallery and uncover the hidden treasures within its exhibits with their drop-in tours! Join summer guides Ollie and Joelle on their daily tours offered between July 4 to August 25. On Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Saturdays, there are tours available at 11am in English, followed by a tour at 1:30pm in French, and another tour at 3pm in English. On Thursdays, there is an English tour at 6pm, followed by a French tour at 7pm. On Sundays and holidays, there is a tour at 1pm in French and another tour at 3pm in English.

Are you a coffee lover looking to expand your knowledge and taste buds? Join the Coffee Connoisseur Tour with Barista Brian in Downtown Fredericton. 13. Christ Church Cathedral

Step into the historical and architectural landmark of Christ Church Cathedral with guides Sophia Pacione and Alex LeBlanc. Built under the authority of Bishop John Medley and modelled after the church in St. Mary's, Snettisham, this cathedral is a National Historic Site and is considered the first Cathedral in North America.
Take advantage of the extended touring schedule, available in the summer from Monday to Saturday, 9am to 5pm, and on Sundays after worship until 4pm. Tours are by donation and offered in English, French and German.
